Made following the shooting of an advertisement of the new Tropico recipe.
Remake of a sequence from the film "Polytechnique" (reimagining the staging).
Inspired by real events: the Polytechnique school massacre in Quebec in 1989.
This short film presents the very different mornings before this attack: that of the killer, and that of 2 students.
The importance of the cold and visceral atmosphere contrasts the vision of a killer with the much more mundane reality.
For this abstract short film, I staged the shots with a shallow depth of field.
This blur-net play with the background allows to present a new point of view of the visual details of everyday life,
through the seasons.
